Brentwood

Williamson County Schools

Scales Elementary School

Scales Elementary School is committed to providing excellent academics with a strong commitment to fostering students who are caring, responsible, respectful, and committed to doing their best. Scales' academic records are among the highest in the state, with Great Schools awarding a 10/10 in test scores, far above the state average. 94% of Scales teachers have three or more years of experience. Scales opened in 1977 and currently serves grades K-5. The school has been recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School.


Lipscomb Elementary School


Leaders of Lipscomb Elementary School focus on cultivating students to do their personal best, guided by teachers who always put students first and supported by parents who reinforce their children’s success. These strong partnerships build a climate of trust and appreciation to work together to benefit students. Lipscomb Elementary is also the oldest school in Williamson County, founded in 1866 by William Lipscomb.

From its original two-room schoolhouse to the current 38-classroom state-of-the-art building, the school’s tradition for excellence has persisted. US News and World Reports ranked Lipscomb No. 2 for elementary schools in Williamson County and No. 8 for elementary schools statewide.


Edmonson Elementary School

Teachers and leaders at Edmonson Elementary School are dedicated to engaging students to achieve their best and build a caring community that inspires a love of learning through strong partnerships with students, parents, and the school community. Great Schools awarded Edmonson a 10/10 in test scores with an 85% proficiency in math and 74% proficiency in English, well above the state average.


Brentwood Middle School


Brentwood Middle School has served the area for almost 50 years, focusing on a student-centered environment and dedication to fostering excellence and perseverance. It is situated in the northern end of the school district, adjacent to the campus of Brentwood High School. The school houses grades 6-8 and enrolled 1,300 students in the 2021-2022 academic year.

Brentwood has been awarded National Blue Ribbon School status and named one of the top 30 schools in the United States — twice! Brentwood is the only school in Tennessee to be called a National Professional Learning Community Model School.


Woodland Middle School


Near Crockett Park’s 164 acres of green space, parklands, and athletic fields, Woodland Middle School serves students in grades 6-8. The school opened in 1994, and the current enrollment is a little over 980 students. Woodland’s mission is to develop well-rounded students through innovative learning and opportunities for growth with a team approach and student-centered focus.


Ravenwood High School

Brentwood’s primary high school, Ravenwood High School, focuses on student achievement, academic excellence, and cultivating well-rounded experiences with plentiful athletic, social, cultural, and artistic opportunities. Ravenwood’s composite ACT scores continue to be some of the highest in the state, while the school’s students continue to win accolades for their academic and athletic achievements. In its annual rankings report, US News and World Reports named Ravenwood No. 6 among all Tennessee high schools.

Currey Ingram Academy


The renowned Currey Ingram Academy has been serving students with unique learning needs at its current location since 2002. The private boarding and day school enrollment includes K-12 students from across the country and the world. Their mission is to empower students with an education that meets their specific needs through small class sizes, evidence-based teaching, and customized learning programs.


Otter Creek School

Otter Creek School is a faith-based preschool and kindergarten associated with the Otter Creek Church of Christ. The school started in 1960 with 12 students. Founded on the mission of meeting children’s needs in a sensible, loving environment, more than 6,000 students have gone through their early education programming.

Franklin

Located about 30 minutes from Nashville, this once-sleepy small town has seen unprecedented growth as people seek homes for sale in Franklin for its notable peace and quiet — while remaining within easy commuting distance to nearby Nashville. Oak View Elementary was opened in 1993 and currently serves approximately 360 students in early childhood through fifth-grade levels. Hunters Bend Elementary

Hunters Bend Elementary is located near the Little Harpeth River, and students can access natural beauty nearby. The school focuses on supporting the whole student’s physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development.


Winstead Elementary

Winstead Elementary School serves 620 students focusing on student-centered success and embracing technology. Winstead sits on grounds rich in history near the Winstead Hill memorial park and offers full-service specialized programs.


Franklin High School

Franklin High School opened in 1910 and is located near downtown Franklin. It was ranked the No. 7 comprehensive high school in Tennessee by US News and World Reports. Current enrollment is 1,800 students served by more than 100 faculty and staff members. The school celebrates its tradition of excellence with excellent academics and a wide range of extracurricular activities.


Renaissance High School

The specialized Renaissance High School offers students small class sizes and project-based learning. This nontraditional public high school located in downtown Franklin provides a range of creative academic approaches to help students thrive.

Franklin Special School District

Poplar Grove School


Poplar Grove Elementary opened its doors in 2000 as part of the Franklin Special School District, serving students in preschool to eighth grade with its year-round balanced calendar schedule. It was established as a school of choice and currently operates as a zoned school.


Franklin Elementary

Situated in historic downtown Franklin, Franklin Elementary has developed a student-centered, research-based learning community where students feel supported and can thrive.

Franklin also is home to several private schools, such as the Montessori School of Franklin, Thales Academy, and Franklin Classical School.
